v0.4.0 patch notes


New Changes

  • Added 4 new planets
  • Added ship health bars to the targeting panel
  • Planets now have a new animation when their ability is triggered
  • Updated the UI of the battle recap
  • Damage numbers of the same type will now group to improve clarity
  • Improved clarity of buff numbers received by ships
  • Big optimization changes for ships with very high fire rates
  • Added a ship trigger animation
  • Ship triggers now happen over a short time frame instead of instantly
  • Camera shake has been added to ability triggers and ship deaths
  • A setting to disable camera shake has been added
  • The camera can now zoom and pan / follow ships during battle
  • Updated the transition for shop to map screen
  • Ships will now fly into the battle screen. 
  • A setting to disable ship intro has been added
  • The map now shows the path you have taken through it

Boss Modifiers

An assortment of modifiers now exist for boss battles which will make them harder to beat

  • Your units cannot crit
  • Your units cannot have shields
  • Your units cannot heal
  • Arc damage reduced
  • Ignition damage reduced
  • Cryo damage reduced
  • Corrosive damage reduced
  • Nanite damage reduced
  • Piercing damage reduced
  • All your damage is converted to basic

Balance

  • Adjusted enemy units to contain a more dynamic range of stats
  • Adjusted ship AIs to be more dynamic giving different ships different AI to suit their ability
  • Peacekeeper extra guns do 20% damage instead of 100%
  • Ratchelos, Virellos, and Ravitalos have been reworked to lose all stacks upon system completion
  • Virellos health bonus reduced 5 >> 3
  • Crag rarity changed Uncommon >> Rare
  • Crag health increase reduced 3% >> 2%
  • Flux drive rarity changed Uncommon >> Rare
  • Flux Drive Fire rate increase reduced 3% >> 1%
  • Necron no longer damages itself post revive

Bug Fixes

  • Twins and Swarm original ship had more health than intended
  • One of the enemy scaling points was 80% instead of 8% which caused drastic strength increase in endless
  • Mirrion was causing stackable planets to gain or lose stacks twice
  • Game speed controller toggle was sometimes showing 1x speed as active when it wasn’t
  • Tooltips were sometimes getting stuck on the screen
  • The odyssey rewards panel was not closing when the map button was clicked while it was open
  • Rapidon, Brutalon, Vitalon and Primalon were buffing clones multiple times permanently
